It was a project for waste management. As part of this project, Anganwadis were encouraged to use natural manure for growing vegetables. Food waste at Anganwadis was collected every day. This food waste was kept in a six-foot by four inch pipe till it decomposed. Then it would be ready to be used as manure for the garden plants. This project was executed at 400 Anganwadis in Kozhikode Corporation. This project helped many low income families undertaken by the department of Social Work Apostolate of St. Thomas Province, Kozhikode.
